About us

Introduction

In 2019, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (may God protect him), declared it the “Year of Tolerance”—a national initiative aimed at positioning the UAE as a global capital of tolerance. This initiative reflects the country’s commitment to embedding tolerance as a lasting institutional value, supported by forward-thinking policies and legislation. The goal: to deepen a culture of acceptance, dialogue, and openness, especially among the youth, in ways that positively impact the broader society.

The Year of Tolerance embodies the UAE’s founding vision—to serve as a bridge between civilizations, bringing people and cultures together in a spirit of mutual respect. It affirms the nation’s dedication to creating an environment that rejects extremism, embraces diversity, and champions peaceful coexistence.
